Amazon.com Product Description
The ultimate dive watch, TAG Heuer’s Aqua Racer provides the high-performance features you need with rugged handsome styling. It features a flat black dial with three-hand function, a date window at 3 o’clock, and luminescent markers on the hands, indexes and bezel scale. Special luminescent material has been added to the tip of the bright yellow second hand for added visibility. The dial is set in a brushed steel case and framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel with an aluminum ring for timing dives and other limited events. Large-sized Arabic numerals on the ring make the dive scale easy to read. The screw-in case back is engraved with an image of a diver’s helmet, and the screw-in crown is fitted with a double seal. Water resistant to 300 meters, this watch is perfect for diving. Other notable features include precise Swiss quartz movement and a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The watch presents on a triple-link bracelet of brushed steel that fastens with a double safety clasp. A diving extension system allows the bracelet to adjust in length so that it fits over a diving suit.
About TAG Heuer
TAG Heuer traces its roots to the small Swiss village of St-Imier where, in 1860, a watchmaker named Edouard Heuer opened his first shop. His vision was to create remarkable timepieces that pushed the envelope of innovation and precision. The company’s reputation grew and Heuer’s first patent for a chronograph mechanism in 1882 was followed by a long list of achievements: the first stopwatch accurate to 1/100 of a second, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars, the first miniature electronic timekeeping device accurate to 1/1000th of a second, and the first automatic movement with a microrotor, to name just a few. Over the years, Heuer’s reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. In 1985, Heuer joined the TAG (Techniques D’Avant-Garde) group, and the TAG Heuer name and logo were created. Now one of the most recognized and sought-after watch brands in the world, TAG Heuer continues its reputation of innovative design and technological excellence, creating prestigious timepieces that are always at the cutting edge of precision, reliability and style.

Weird second hand?![]()
I got the modelWJ1111BABA0570 today and love the look and feel, very solid. It is the Tag Heuer Link Quartz not the automatic.
But the second hand does a weird thing. It stops every four second then advances four seconds all at once. I have many watches, including two other Tags, but I’ve never seen this. Am I missing something? Has anyone else seen this? Despite this, it does seem to keep excellent time.
Should I return it? Or is this some feature that has been added to this watch or present in other watches and I am just unaware. It is a little unsettling, especially when I am taking a patient’s pulse.
Awesome Watch![]()
My wife got me this watch as a gift and I went back and forth between this version (Quartz movement) vs. automatic and after reading some of the hassles about the innacurracies and mysteries of the automatic movement, I went with the old tried and true Quartz version. I don’t have time to check the time against my atomic clock every day to see if I’ve lost time or not! I held both versions in my hand in the store side by side and the auto is slightly bigger and thicker, but both look great. As another reviewer said, it looks great dress up or casual. Fast delivery in the real authentic Tag box and packaging-Thanks Amazon

I’ve had my Aquaracer for just over a year now and I wear it everywhere! Dress up/dress down I always get compliments as its so eye catching and the design simple and clean. It loses about 5 seconds a month and I don’t mind at all. I like to set it so the minute hand is exactly where it should be at the 60/0 and 30 second marks, sometimes it could take me 15 minutes to set it right! But once its set it keeps accurate even though it loses those seconds. The bevel is great and I use it to time everything from steaks on the Barbie (5min per side) to how long I’m waiting on line to international time conversion. I traveled a lot this summer and I wore my Aquaracer snorkeling around the cays near Bermuda, off the cape of Trafalgar in Spain, the Mediterranean in the south of France, many pools of various salt and chemical densities and my own shower in Los Angeles!
